Marlborough Sixth Form Awards celebrate a year of excellence for St John's School

The Sixth Form Awards were presented to students in the school's theatre on Wednesday 14 December by Andy Devonshire, former St John's Head Boy and now an acclaimed award-winning TV Director. Andy Devonshire presented the awards and gave a keynote speech. He is currently directing 'The Magician' for the BBC. The 1st July is the 95th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme and the St John's History Department is running two days of activities on 4 & 5 July involving a WW1 "Living Historian."
Marlborough's St.John's School wins cookery competition

On Friday 6 May saw the finals of Swindon College's Annual Cookery Competion with six schools from Wwiltshire competing in two categories. Pupils from St.John's School Marlborough won the 'year 9 category. Staff at the Blunsdon House Hotel, Swindon, helped with the judging.

At 12.30 this afternoon, ex-pupil Jane Boulton (nee Bridge) began the demolition of St. John's School Stedman Building. Mrs. Boulton, who was at Marlborough Grammar School from 1958-65, was one of the first pupils to attend the school.
