Blue Orchid- Amazing Thai Food
I went to Blue Orchid Thai restaurant in Marlborough on Saturday night and had some of the best Thai Food I’ve ever had. Having eaten in Thai restaurants in various towns and cities in the UK and the States I was convinced that my local where I used to live in Crystal Palace was the best there was. I’m not so sure now...
Although I didn’t do the ultimate test of trying their green curry I think this might now be my favourite Thai. I had the lettuce parcels with tiger prawn to start and then a tiger prawn jungle curry, both were VERY good, and beautifully presented. My husband likes milder food and went for chicken satay and mango chicken with pad thai which he said was also excellent. My mango pot desert was also very good, but it was the savoury courses that were outstanding.
Prices were what you would expect for a good Thai restaurant and service was excellent. My only criticism would be that although there were quite a few free tables (I can’t understand why it wasn’t rammed on a Saturday night with food like that) the lady serving us put another couple right next to us, so we could hear exactly what they were talking about and vice versa, which obviously wasn’t ideal- especially for them as they seemed to be on a first date!By Holly_Berry at 10:06 on 17/01/11

Great Restaurant, Excellent Food, Superb Service
The Blue Orchid is an excellent restaurant. The staff achieve that fine balance of always being there when you want them without hovering. The food is well cooked and presented and there is something to appeal to everyone's palate.
What makes it even better is that they also do takeaway. Definitely the best takeaway in the area. -
Great Thai food
Tucked away just off of a side street youll find this gem of a Thai restaurant. The staff are hugely friendly and always pleased to see you, while the food is wonderful: really inventively presented and varying in flavours, meaning that ordering dishes to share is a great way to sample just some of the many lovely dishes they offer. Because it is quite small and tucked away then the atmosphere tends to be quiet but friendly and it is well priced too.

Tasty Thai food
The Blue Orchid has an excellent Thai menu, with all the usual favourites as well as some delicious modern creations. The Thai green curry is excellent as is the mango crispy chicken. The Blue Orchid is tucked away behind the town hall and also has a takeaway service.
