The Sun Inn is a very homey traditional pub on the high street. Here they offer fantastic fresh food which goes down swimmingly with a pint of locally brewed real ale. The Sun Inn is the perfect place to unwind in the winter with a fireplace by the bar for ultimate comfort.

I'm really starting to think we're so lucky with pub food in Marlborough- spoilt for choice.
I had one of the specials which was amazing, a really authentic, traditional, filling version of what it was. Having never gone out drinking at The Sun when I was growing up in Marlborough it was really nice to discover it from scatch as just a really cosy, warm old fashioned pub. I think the open fire and the wood panelling helped, but also the incredibly friendly staff, the guy who served me was friendly and welcoming without being annoyingly attentive.

At the end of Marlborough High Street is The Sun Inn which looks like its from a bygone era. Old dark brown wood, open fires and real ales are just some of the things you can expect from this olde world Inn. I quite like this aspect of the pub and I think it makes the local more interesting and special. The food is good and great sized portions.
