If your New Year’s resolutions involve getting more exercise or helping charities the Prospect Hospice Marlborough Winter Walk is a great way to do both. Marlborough’s local Hospice are looking for people to join them for a five mile sponsored walk in the scenic countryside surrounding our town on Sunday February 28th, starting at 10.30am.

.
It is an opportunity to remember a friend or loved one, or simply to enjoy a stroll in aid of the hospice.
The walk will start at 10.30am from the Jubilee Centre on the High Street. From there you’ll head south uphill towards the open countryside to the west of Savernake Forest, before crossing the road at Cadley Church. You will then return to Marlborough through the forest, a haven for many species of wildlife. Hopefully you will spy hares, foxes and roe deer.
Patrick Norris from the Great Western Community Forest will lead the walk and will point out sights of interest along the route- which should take around 2.5 hours to complete. The walk will finish back at the Jubilee Centre where there will be a hot drink waiting for you.
If you are interested in taking part then please register now by contacting the fundraising team on 01793 815142 or e-mail hayleymillin@prospect-hospice.net
The registration fee is £8.00 per adult and £2.00 for under 16s.

It's not too late to register for this. Prospect Hospice is an absolutely incredible place which we are nothing short of blessed to have as our local hospice. This should be a great couple of hours taking in the local scenery, getting a bit of exersize and supporting a very worthy and very local charity. Register now! If even 50 more people register that's an extra £400 to Prospect Hospice!
