Hello,

There's no real, tasty, artisan bread sold in Marlborough any more. So,

we're going to.

From Thursday 16th February we'll sell a small range of award-winning

breads, made by the same distinctive bakers who make the bread for our

sandwiches. You may have seen them recently on Channel 4? The Fabulous Baker

Brothers - from Hobbs House Bakery, Chipping Sodbury.

Their team of skilled and charming bakers work tirelessly through each

night, to be ready for the van drivers, who deliver to us before we're open.

Take your taste buds back to bygone days and let them savour the delight of

biting into perfectly baked bread - soft and flavoursome, with a stunning

crust. What to look out for:

Fig and Walnut - an explosion of finely balanced flavour which is great with

just about any cheese.

Pain de Campagne - a rustic loaf made over two days, has a crispy crust and

compliments beautifully with a piping hot bowl of soup.

Organic Spelt loaf - it's won Gold Medals at the Taste of the West awards.

It's a fabulous wholemeal loaf. Sometimes suitable for those with a gluten

intolerance.

Sherston - probably the best white bread you'll ever taste. A quote "A

nostalgic loaf because it's properly made before the world became a less

good place. It's my downfall - eaten fresh with lashings of butter and some

great raspberry jam" Fine Cheese Co

Harvester - a granary style. Our most popular bread, by far, for our own

sandwiches. It has a lovely mellow taste, with a softly nutty texture.

You'll see the display as soon as you come in to the coffee shop. Simply

make your selection, slip it into the convenient paper bag, and bring it to

the counter to pay.

Just try not to nibble some before you get home to share with your family

and friends.
