The magic of Alice in Wonderland comes to Marlborough Fun

Day next month, as part of the We Love Marlborough Arts Area.

Children will be invited to join the fun-filled Mad

Hatter's Tea Party, in association with local theatre troupe Curious Company,

during the event, which takes place at Marlborough Common on Sunday, September

5.

Tea parties, featuring Alice, Dormouse and the Mad Hatter

himself, take place at 11.30am, 12.45pm and 3.30pm.

Marlborough artists of all descriptions will be making

the Arts Area one of the most vibrant parts of the Fun Day.

Visual artist Nicky Leigh will be helping children to

design and make masks to wear to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party from 10.45am to

12.45pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm, while for younger children there'll be a chance

to look the part with some face painting.

We Love Marlborough's popular Art Market will be one of

the main attractions. Local artists and craftspeople will be selling their work

and,  in keeping with the family

theme, no piece will cost more than £30.

Music plays a big part of Marlborough Fun Day, and the

Arts Area will feature an acoustic music stage, with live music throughout the

day.

Outside the Arts Area, attractions include a huge car

boot sale, kids' fancy dress competition and the ever-popular Scruffs dog show.

Sideshows include inflatables, helicopter rides, quad bikes, mini 4x4s, a fire

engine and much, much more.
