Police are making an appeal for information after a 90 year old man was robbed whilst walking his dog near Netheravon.
The incident happened around 7am on Sunday morning, 8th August 2010, whilst the man walked his dog in the area of the ‘Bravo’ Tank crossing on the A345 south of Netheravon.
Whilst walking the victim was approached from behind by two young men believed to be aged in their late teens / early twenties and forced to the ground. The victim’s wallet was taken and the men then left the scene.
The first man is described as wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured jacket with a grey hood, which was up covering his hair. The second man is described as wearing a khaki coloured hooded jacket.
Information has now been received that two young men were seen riding a trail bike at 10:00 am on Sunday 8th August 2010 along the Pewsey to Everleigh Road. The pair would have been noticeable as they were not wearing crash helmets and were seen weaving in and out of the traffic. Officers are appealing for these men to come forward in order to be eliminated from the enquiry.
Anyone with any information in relation to the identity of the men described above or the incident itself is asked to contact DS Nigel Porter on 0845 408 7000. Alternatively people can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if they wish.
