Claire Perry the MP for Devizes Constituency wants to hear your ideas on how we can get more for less, following the launch of the Spending Challenge on July 9th by the Chancellor George Osborne.

Claire says that she has already heard dozens of good ideas in her surgeries and from within her party on how the Government can save public money. If you have an idea that will deliver better services for people while saving money in the process please visit:  http://spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/ or contact Claire with your ideas at claire.perry.mp@parliament.uk .

Your idea could be small-scale, but quick and easy to put into action. It could be more radical, involving significant changes to where and how government works. Either way, please be specific with enough detail to enable your idea to be implemented.

Claire says,  ‘.... tackling the deficit is the most urgent and unavoidable issue facing Britain today. We need to control public spending so we can get the economy moving.

It’s going to require tough decisions, and that means approaching the Spending Review in a completely different way. We want to carry out Britain’s unavoidable Budget deficit reduction plan in a way that strengthens and unites the country. The Government is committed to achieving the bulk of this through reductions in Government spending, rather than tax increases, while protecting the quality of key frontline services, like the NHS.’
