International speaker, scientist Dr David Hamilton is coming to St John’s Theatre on the Hill in Marlborough on 17 March at 7:30pm to explore the new research into the positive physical and mental changes that occur when we act with kindness and compassion.
His talk “Why kindness is good for you” is being brought to St John’s by the Alternative Health Network, who have booked the theatre following a sell-out evening in Aldbourne. The Network is anticipating a high demand for tickets to Dr Hamilton’s return visit and are now expecting the 350-seat Theatre to be packed. The event is raising finds jointly for St John’s School fundraising appeal and for CAN in Aldbourne, the village’s internet cafe.
“I am pleased that the St John’s Theatre is being used for yet another interesting event, and are very happy that the evening will be raising much-needed funds for our appeal for our new sports facilities” said St John’s Headteacher Dr Patrick Hazlewood.
Tickets are £8 for Adults and £5 for 15-18s and are available from St John’s School reception, Sound Knowledge in Hughenden Yard, and the Wellbeing Centre in London Road. A licensed bar will be available from 7pm.
Dr David Hamilton has a PhD in organic chemistry and has previously worked for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. He founded an international relief charity, and had had several books published. He is now considered an expert in how our thoughts and minds can physically change our bodies.
