Marlborough Fun Day

This year the Marlborough Fun Day is all set for Sunday 5 September with the same format as last year and much more! The annual Fun Day will open at 10 am with a car boot sale, trade stands and free charity stalls.

The Fun Day will include the very popular Scruffs Dog Show and a Fancy Dress competition. The children’s entertainment for the Fun Day will include giant slides, bouncy castles, bungee runs, a quad bike & buggy circuit, modern and vintage vehicles with various demonstrations and displays and there will be helicopter rides all day, weather permitting. The Fun Day will feature live bands to suit all ages and styles from rock bands to brass bands and the popular Kennet Youth Accordion Orchestra. There will be a food tent and a Beer Tent with a Hog Roast, BBQ’s and ice creams as well!

It was the extremely high cost of providing a carnival procession that led to the present Fun Day instead as a way of raising money for the local charities and community groups. Many will have benefitted from their own attendance as well as the donations from our organising committee. This event is to raise money for local people by local people and enjoying some fun while doing it!
