Fungus Foray

Join us for a full day course introducing you to the fascinating world of fungi.

This course is designed for beginners who want to know more about identifying and eating fungi. The day begins with a half-day foray looking at a range of fungi in woodland and grassland habitats. This session will focus on fungus identification. At lunchtime we move to an indoor venue for Mushroom soup and to cook any edible fungi we have found. The morning's finds will be displayed and labelled. The afternoon comprises two slideshow talks, one focusing on identification and the second on collecting.

Participants will receive handouts and get access to on-line materials.
