I have occasionally voted Green in local elections where I felt that my vote had an outside chance of having an impact, but never in a general election. This year, the field seems wide open, and with the potential for a hung parliament, a large Green vote even without any successful candidates will influence the policies of the three main parties. We need to shout out with our votes that climate change and sustainability are key issues that need to be taken seriously. Alongside this, the Green Party now has genuine, simple and constructive policies on a wide range of issues from health to youth to housing. For once I feel there is a party that is aligned to how I want the world to be. There is no doubt that “Fair is worth fighting for”. I’m voting Green and spreading the word to my friends.
