    Two men aged 22 from London were arrested at the end of January for robbery and firearms offences in connection with the robbery at Chaplin's newsagents in Chiseldon on Monday 16th January 2012. At approximately 6.30am, two males entered the shop and threatened the shop assistant with an handgun. They asked for access to the safe but were told that the shop did not possess one.

    A classics teacher at St. John's School, Marlborough has been jailed for 20 months and banned for driving for three years for causing the death of Lee Roberts, 35,  by dangerous driving in October 2010.     Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information to the robbery at gunpoint of  Chiseldon newsagent Chaplin's on Monday 16th January at approx. 6.30 a.m. by two white men in their 20s armed with a handgun.  They stole cigarettes and money.. Anyone with information should telephone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information may be left anonymously if preferred.
