Theatre Company taking dramatic steps in Marlborough

A theatre company from Swansea has announced that they will be coming through Marlborough as part of their 200 mile on foot journey to raise money for their next play.
Theatre Company Velvet Trumpet will be coming through Marlborough.
Dramatic arts company Velvet Trumpet are walking from London to Swansea in an effort to raise more funds for their up and coming play 'Don't Disturb the Driver'.
The group's members Nikolai and Thomas will be travelling through the town as their characters Ken and Steve recording comedy sketches along their journey.
The sketch will allow the audience to get involved which has been named 'Ken's Christmas Crusade."
Nikolai one of the members of Velvet Trumpet said: "The arts are taking a financial hit. Those that suffer most are invariably the small independent theatres and companies, ourselves included."
Velvet Trumpet are hoping to complete the walk across the country in just over a week.
Their next play 'Don't Disturb the Driver' is set in a Swansea coach station. Will, a coach driver, is about to become the youngest driver ever to reach one million miles of service. Will makes the journey from London to Swansea which has inspired Nikolai and Thomas's fundraising route.
"Money maybe in short supply but the creativity of the theatre community certainly isn't," Nikolai added.
Velvet Trumpet will be coming to Marlborough Tuesday, 18, December 2012.
The theatre company was founded in 2012 in London.
