A Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel will be taking place this week with the opportunity to hear from the newly elected Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

The public will have an opportunity to meet Wiltshire's PCC representative Angus Machpherson at Devizes Town Hall Assembly Room, December, 5, 2012.

The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel is the first of its kind which will outline Angus Machpherson's key priorities and how he intends to work with the public to keep the county a safe environment.

Councillor Richard Britton, Chairman of the Wiltshire Police and Crime panel said: "This is an important meeting. It will be a good opportunity to formerly introduce Wiltshire's PCC and the public can find out what the respective roles and responsibilities of the PCC and Police and Crime panel are and how they will try to involve the public."

Angus Machpherson was elected as the first PCC to represent Wiltshire with only a 16% turnout across the county.

The meeting which is open to the public will run from 10am-1pm.
