Author Andy Morris was amazed to learn of a second coincidence when his latest book was published earlier this month.
Morris has written a new biography of singer Amy Winehouse, who died tragically late last month aged just 27.
With the book just about to come off the printing press last week, he learned that he had a namesake who discovered Amy's body.
The details of Amy's death have been shrouded in mystery since it was announced on July 23.
It was reported early on that Amy's personal security guard had discovered she had died.
The family told the media that her bodyguard had gone to check on her in the late afternoon, after she had not appeared from her bedroom.
He found her unresponsive, and alerted medical services who declared her dead at the scene.
But the bodyguard's identity had been kept secret until just a couple of days before Morris' new book hit the shelves, on Friday.
Morris said he was shocked to discover the guard's name was also Andrew Morris.
He said: "My girlfriend cried out that she had found something unbelievable on the internet and that I should come and see for myself.
"The story had just broken that Amy's personal bodyguard was called Andrew Morris. I was absolutely astounded at the coincidence.
"Of all the millions of possibilities, for us to have the same name is incredible."
It was the second remarkable coincidence, as the singer/songwriter, who had worldwide hits with albums "Frank" and "Back to Black" had died just as Morris was finishing his book.
He said: "I have always been fascinated with Amy, and she had disappeared from the headlines a little bit so I decided to write about all the things she had been doing after releasing her second album.
"Like every other fan, I was hoping that she would finish her third album. I was writing the book thinking that it might come out around the time she released another record.
"The fact that she died so suddenly, when it seemed like she might be recovering from her addictions, was really tragic.
"I hope that readers will feel that the book is a fitting tribute to her and helps to explain some of the pain she suffered."
The book, "Open Book: The Life and Death of Amy Winehouse", is available from Amazon.
