Help look after your pets by protecting them from seasonal stress and fear caused by fireworks.

Take your dog for a walk before it gets dark when fireworks are more likely to be let off.

Make sure that your cat or cats are indoors before darkness falls.

Draw the curtains so that pets cannot see the flashes of light caused by fireworks.

Put the TV or radio on to distract  from the noise outside.

Try not to hug or reassure pets  when there is noise as this will re-inforce their fear.

Make sure that dogs are not walked in the vicinity of firework displays.
