Formal identification following deaths in Devizes

One of the people who was found shot dead in a property has been formally identified following a police statement.
A man and a woman were found shot dead at a house on Moonrakers Estate, Devizes on Saturday, 2, March 2013 after police were called to the property at around 11am with neighbours reporting their concern.
The man has been formally identified as William Harold Dowling, also known as Bill, 59, from the estate.
Bill was an ex Wiltshire Police Officer who retired in January 2007.
Police are treating the deaths as an isolated incident and the Major Crime Investigation Team are conducting a full investigating into the sudden deaths.
In a statement released by Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Ian Saunders said: "This is an isolated incident and at this early stage of the investigation we do not believed that there was anyone else involved. However, we ask that anyone who has any information contacts Wiltshire Police on 101."
"Our thoughts are with the families at this very sad time."
The property on Moonrakers Estate has been cordoned off as part of the investigation while police continue with their enquiries.
Formal identification of the woman has yet to be confirmed.
The woman found shot at a property along with Bill Dowling has been officially identified as Victoria Elaine Rose, 58 from Devizes.
The family have been informed.
In a statement released by police it stated: "On behalf of the family it is with great sadness that we issue a small statement regarding Victoria Rose."
"Mum, Victoria or Vicky was sadly taken away from us on Saturday. Words cannot describe how the family are feeling with this loss, for such a caring person and for anyone that knew her or had any contact with her, would know how she was always willing to help and chat to anyone."
"What we do ask if the family can be left to grieve in this difficult time. Thank you."
The inquest into the deaths of Bill Dowling and Victoria Rose was opened and adjourned yesterday (Thursday, 7, March 2013). The cause of death for both of the deceased was gunshot wounds.
